‘Teen Mom 2’ Sneak Peek: Leah Messer Leaves Her Daughters To Go To Treatment, Admits To ‘Becoming Dependent’ On Medication?
In a new Teen Mom 2 sneak peek, Leah Messer is seen saying “goodbye” to her three daughters, Adalynn, Ali and Aleeah, and heading to a treatment facility, where she hopes to address her yet-to-be-revealed “issues.”
“I’m going to miss you so much,” Messer tells her daughters in the Teen Mom 2 sneak peek, shared by People Magazine on August 26.
“I have to leave my babies for a month, and I haven’t cried yet,” Messer tells her mother as the Teen Mom 2 sneak peek continues. “I know I have to do this for them. I know I do, because the person I used to be, the happy person I used to be, is fading away.”
According to the magazine and Teen Mom 2 sneak peek, Messer was accused of having an addition to prescription drugs during her court battle with ex-husband Corey Simms over their twin girls, Ali and Aleeah, 5. However, according to Messer’s comments in the Teen Mom 2 sneak peek, her prescription drug use has come to an end.
Messer revealed in the Teen Mom 2 sneak peek that she was prescribed pain medication to deal with back pain after the birth of Adalynn in February 2013, but she stopped taking it after feeling she was becoming dependent upon it.
“When I was hurting so bad, I’d take the medication, because I could get up and go. I could take care of my kids. My back wasn’t hurting. I told you guys, ‘I’ve got this medication. I feel like I’m becoming dependent. I can’t take this medication.’ I stopped taking the medication.”
At the end of the Teen Mom 2 sneak peek, Messer added, “That person I know I could be – and I will be again – is just crying for help inside me.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Messer denied having a drug issue on Facebook around the time the Teen Mom 2 sneak peek was released. Below is what the Teen Mom 2 star told fans.
“Articles was printed over me posting the Serenity Prayer. FYI… The “Serenity Prayer” isn’t just a prayer for people who have an addiction. That is like saying the “LORDS PRAYER” is only for Christians. My ONLY addiction is MY CHILDREN.”
Although it was not mentioned in the Teen Mom 2 sneak peek, Messer admitted to taking medication to address painful headaches early on in the season. No word on whether or not she continues to take the medication at this point.
