Ben Affleck Gets Rid Of His Wedding Band, Reconnects With Former Flame JLo

It seems that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Gardner have finally decided to put an end to their 10-year union. In July, the couple announced that they were getting a divorce but have decided to hold onto their wedding bands for the sake of their children.

“The kids are big part of why they decided to continue to wear the rings,” a source close to the couple said. Affleck and Garner wanted to help their kids adjust to the divorce so the exes kept wearing their rings when spending time together as a family.

On August 26, however, Ben Affleck was seen without the wedding band on his left finger. He was on his way to a studio on Culver City with his children Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel while Gardner was busy filming the movie Miracles from Heaven in Atlanta.

According to a news reports online, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Gardner are planning to discuss the details of their divorce through a private mediator. The couple needs to figure out quite a number of things and their current living arrangement is just one of them, an insider told People.

“Jen will always make sure that Ben spends as much time with the kids as he wants, but she is rethinking their living situation,” the source added.

People have been wondering what could be the reason behind Affleck’s change of heart. There have been reports that the 43-year-old director and actor of Argo was dating Christine Ouzounian, the 28-year-old nanny of his children. The two reportedly became romantically involved when Affleck was going through months of trial separation with Gardner.

In a statement to US Weekly, Affleck’s representatives asserted that there’s no truth to the allegation. “It’s garbage,” was what Affleck’s camp said about the rumors.

Other sources, however, say that the real reason Ben Affleck decided to remove his wedding ring for good is his ex-fiancee Jennifer Lopez. Affleck and Lopez have been in constant communication with each other since the actor’s split with Gardner.

“Ben and JLo have been talking and texting since he split with Jennifer. Ben never felt he was allowed to maintain a relationship with her,” reveals a source.

Jennifer Gardner has a reputation to be overly controlling of Ben Affleck’s friendships, particularly his exes. “When the couple’s split was announced to the public, Ben Affleck turned to his friends for support and one of those who reached out to him was Jennifer Lopez,” the insider added.
