Watch Chicago Cubs Vs. San Francisco Giants Live Online: Red-Hot Cubbies Invade The Bay, Streaming

Baseball fans will want to watch live online when the Chicago Cubs, the hottest team in Major League Baseball, invade AT&T Park where they’ll try to hold off the San Francisco Giants in the National League Wild Card race. The Giants will need to recover from an 8-5 loss in the opener of this three-game mid-week series on Tuesday if they hope to gain ground either on the streaking Cubbies, or the NL West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers.

To find out how to watch the Chicago Cubs vs. San Francisco Giants Wednesday night late game live online, see the streaming information in the final paragraph of this article. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. in San Francisco — that’s 9 p.m. Central Time and 10 p.m. Eastern.

Since July 29, the Cubs have won an astounding 21 of their last 25 games, a juggernaut that has propelled them into the second Wild Card slot in the National League, with the Giants 7 1/2 games back. During their incredible stretch, however, the Cubs have had the advantage of what amounts to a 17-game homestand.

Starting on August 6, the only games the Cubs have played outside of Wrigley Field were a three-game inter-league set against crosstown rivals the Chicago White Sox — technically “road” games, but clearly lacking the usual stresses of travel.

For the Giants, 34-year-old, 14-year veteran Jake Peavy will try to act as the stopper for a team that has now dropped six of its last eight contests. But the last time the righty took the mound, he gave up four runs in six frames to the Pittsburgh Pirates, taking the loss.

Peavy has faced the Cubs once this year, lasting five innings, allowing two runs and taking the loss.

Chicago’s Wednesday night hurler, 25-year-old Kyle Hendricks, in his second MLB season, has taken no-decisions in his last two starts. But he got the win over the Giants at Wrigley on August 8, despite laboring over 5 1/3 innings, allowing three runs, five hits, a pair of walks and fanning five.
