New Weapons DLC Coming to ‘Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare,’ Plus Royalty Variants V3 Due September

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare developer Sledgehammer Games announced the last major batch of downloadable content (DLC) for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare to come to Xbox One consoles when September hits.

Sledgehammer Games announced on its blog last August 18 that the last set of downloadable content for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is coming to Xbox One on August 25, bringing the last pieces of the Royalty Variants—MP11, SN6, and AE4, to name a few—plus three Call of Duty fan-favorites. The AK-47 and the M16 Assault Rifles will be making a comeback in this Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC, alongside the Exo-Zombies shotgun, CEL-3, crossing over to multiplayer.

However, Sledgehammer Games announced over at the official SH Games Twitter page that their target date, August 25, is getting pushed back to September 1. This means that the last batch of weapons for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is coming September 1 for Xbox One.

Both back by popular demand, the AK-47 and M16 are two Call of Duty assault rifle classics. Great for close- to medium-range attacks, the AK-47 will be unlocked in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare by one of the five variants in a Supply Drop or Advanced Supply Drop. Great for longer sight-lines and powered with more attack, the M16 base weapon will be unlocked for use in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Create a Class, with one variant from the Supply Drop or Advanced Supply Drop.

One of the more famous shotguns from Call of Duty: Advanced WarfareExo-Zombies story line, the CEL-3, is coming to multiplayer in Xbox One. Fully automatic and very similar to the prior CEL-3 in Call of Duty story mode, the CEL-3 will be available after receiving one variant from Call of Duty Supply Drops and Advanced Supply Drops.

Softpedia reports that apart from these three Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare favorites, the third installment of the Royalty Variants are finally coming around. Like the previous Royalty weapons, the third collection of Royalty Variants for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be available in both Supply Drops and Advanced Supply Drops.
