‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Leaks Spoilers For Meredith, Amelia, & Maggie

As the leaks increase for Season 12 of Grey’s Anatomy, the picture of how the season will unfold is getting clearer. Caterina Scorsone, who plays Dr. Amelia Shepherd, has been dishing about relationships and new living arrangements for Season 12.

Shonda Rhimes has promised a lighter season this year, after the doom and gloom of last season with the death of McDreamy, Dr. Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey), according to the International Business Times.

“Because this is a lighter season, we found funny ways to tell what’s a very emotional story — more of a charming way to tell an emotional story, but it is still emotional,” Rhimes revealed during the 2015 TCA summer press tour, explaining how she was going to twist the dark plot toward the light.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Shonda Rhimes is going to use an unusual living situation once again to lighten the mood on the show. Meredith, Amelia, and Maggie will all be living together in order to share the work of caring for Meredith’s children.

“Right now it’s very funny. Those three women are very different and don’t have very much in common, which is fantastic,” Rhimes says. “Meredith needs support right now and she is related to them so it’s not the same as when she was living with Izzie (Katherine Heigl) and George (T.R. Knight) and liked them. She doesn’t necessarily need to like them to love them and be in a house with them. It’s a fascinating dynamic — it’s family.”

As reported in the Inquisitr, another way Rhimes might lighten the load is by bringing back Sandra Oh as Dr. Cristina Yang, who is Meredith Grey’s “person.” If anyone can be of help to Meredith, it’s Cristina Yang. And maybe Cristina will join the ladies in their new group home.

Design and Trend has also confirmed that Meredith, Amelia, and Maggie will be sharing a house this season.

“In other news, Amelia will also be living with Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Maggie (Kelly McCreary). The dynamics between the three women is something fans are already looking forward to as early as now.”

In the same vein as lightening the living arrangements will be the birth of new relationships and the rekindling of old ones, including the love story of Amelia and Owen (Kevin McKidd), who will likely find their way back to each other this season.
