‘Dead’ Teen ‘Wakes Up’ ‘Screaming and Banging’ Inside Coffin, Honduras Family Breaks Open The Tomb

After hearing screams coming from the tomb of a teen that was presumed dead, a family in Honduras reportedly smashed open the tomb to free the pregnant 16-year-old girl a day after she was buried.

The day after Neysi Perez’s funeral, her husband Rudy Gonzales was visiting the gravesite when he heard banging and screams from inside the coffin, as reported to Primer Impacto.

“As I put my hand on her grave, I could hear noises inside. I heard banging, then I heard her voice. She was screaming for help. It had already been a day since we buried her. I couldn’t believe it. I was ecstatic, full of hope.”

A cemetery worker also said the screams of the “dead teen” and the family rushed to free the young woman.

Video shows the “dead” girl’s family using a hammer to break the concrete tomb, which held Perez’s coffin.

Relatives told Primer Impacto the tips of Perez’s fingers were bruised and the viewing window on her coffin had been smashed.

Perez, still inside her coffin, was taken to a local hospital, but despite efforts to revive her, medics found no signs of life and she was declared dead a second time. She was later returned to the cemetery and reburied in the same mausoleum.

Perez, who was three months pregnant, reportedly fell unconscious after waking up in the night to use the outside toilet at her home in La Entrada, western Honduras.

The Mirror reports the dead teen may have collapsed in an apparent panic attack after hearing a burst of gunfire.

When the teen started foaming at the mouth, her religious parents reportedly called the local priest believing she had become possessed by an evil spirit.

Relatives told how the priest tried to exorcise her, but she later became lifeless and was rushed to hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

The dead teen was buried a second time in the wedding dress she had recently used to get married.
