Cloaked Figure In Gastonia NC: Creeped Out Internet Finally Learns Truth Behind Mysterious Cloaked Figure
A cloaked figure in Gastonia, North Carolina, has some residents on edge. According to CNN, at least one person saw and photographed the figure — which appears to be a man — standing in a black robe outside of an apartment complex. The man looked extremely pale and very stern. Not only did the figure seem strange and out of place, but some believe that he dropped some “raw meat” near a playground. But for what possible purpose? A Pagan ritual? Some other strange animal sacrifice?
The photo was posted online, where it quickly went viral.

So who is this person? The internet’s guesses have been pretty good so far.
“A witch? Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars? A Halloween costume store worker field-testing the gear before the big rush in a few months? Nobody seems to know, and the Internet does not seem to care, the photo being simply too creepy to ignore.”
Fortunately, the cloaked figure in Gastonia, North Carolina, has since come forward, and TMZ has the answers that everyone seems to want at this point. While you may have been looking for some ultra-creepy explanation, the man under the long, black robe has been identified.
He is just an innocent college kid, and he was working on a project for school.
That’s right, folks, nothing to see here!
“It looks like we have a logical explanation for all of this. It looks like some visiting college kids were working on a school project,” Lance Calhoun with Southwood Realty told the Gaston Gazette.
There were no further details on what the project was, and there was no more on the whole “raw meat” storyline, but at least people know that they aren’t in any kind of immediate “strange man in a cloak” kind of danger.
