Miley Cyrus Gets Ready To Host 2015 MTV VMAs, ‘SNL’ Without Stella Maxwell
Miley Cyrus is getting ready to host this coming Sunday’s 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. Unless the Parents Television Council stops her before it happens.
Officials of the PTC are asking advertisers to boycott this year’s VMAs because they feel that Miley Cyrus, 22, is a bad role model for both kids and teens. The group reportedly sent a letter to around 30 advertisers on August 12, according to a previous report via The Hollywood Reporter.
They’re not comfortable with Cyrus hosting the award show since she’s now known for twerking on stage and grinding with “Blurred Lines” singer Robin Thicke.
“MTV’s award shows are known for carefully orchestrated controversy and shock value, even though the program is marketed to impressionable young viewers. MTV appears to be courting controversy with this year’s VMAs by its choice of Miley Cyrus – who, you will recall, ignited a firestorm of controversy during the 2013 VMAs when she bent over and gyrated on the pelvis of Robin Thicke, and pretended to masturbate with a giant foam finger – as host.”

Miley Cyrus is also receiving flack from Kasabian’s Tom Meighan over her raunchy music videos. The frontman of the alternative rock band has changed his ways since becoming a father. As previously noted in a report via The Mirror, Meighan used to tell stories about how he and his bandmates would take as many drugs as possible.
Now, Tom, 34, says he wants both Miley and Rihanna’s explicit music videos censored.
“They need to put controls on. I’ve got a three-year-old daughter, and when there is someone dancing like a stripper, you know, she is three years old. But the kids will get to it no matter what. But then they copy and pick it up. I don’t want my daughter doing that. She is three years old.”
Hopefully, viewers won’t have a problem when Cyrus hosts the 41st season of Saturday Night Live. She will kick off the season by hosting for the third time. Cyrus last hosted SNL in 2013, weeks after her infamous performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.
The “Wrecking Ball” singer is getting ready for both of her hosting gigs without her rumored girlfriend, Stella Maxwell. The were last seen making out on video in July, which was filmed by the paparazzi. Miley and Stella haven’t been seen together ever since their hot and heavy make out session.

Stella Maxwell, 24, has been sharing several photos of herself with Johnny Depp’s 16-year-old daughter Lily-Rose in a new photo shoot for Love magazine. The two even seemed cozy in their candid photos. That caused some fans to ask, “Where’s Miley?”
As for the wacky and zany singer, she’s been seen at home alone. Cyrus recently shared a photo of herself reading a My Little Pony book in bed.
Stella and Miley haven’t been photographed together for a while, causing fans to ask if their PDA-fueled session was only for attention. Several reports claimed that the pair dated for six months after Miley broke up with ex Patrick Schwarzenegger. Stella even told V Magazine that Miley’s assistant and BFF, Cheyne Thomas, introduced the two blonde beauties.
“We met through mutual friends via Instagram, which is where Cheyne contacted me about taking some photos.”
Maybe Cyrus is just focused on promoting herself in sake of her upcoming album. It was previously reported that the singer has been working on her solo album, along with a joint album with the Flaming Lips. Cyrus previously told Marie Claire magazine that she would like to offer her music, free of charge.
Meanwhile, an inside source told Billboard on Monday, August 24 that Miley’s new album is unlike her previous works, Bangerz and Can’t Be Tamed. The alleged source said that fans should not expect a Miley Cyrus album.
“It’s not a Miley record. It’s a project she’s been working on with the Flaming Lips. It’s amazing, it’s incredible, it just needs to be understood that it’s not a typical, straightforward Miley record — we don’t want there to be confusion in the marketplace.”
There’s been a lot of conflicting information about the pop star’s new music. It was previously reported via the Inquisitr that Cyrus’ new single called “Freaky” was released, but it turns out it was just a demo.
As for her new album, fans can expect a mix of “psychedelic rock” and pop music. The source then added, “But at the end of the day, it is Miley.”

Though several sources have claimed that the singer’s “very experimental” album isn’t as good as to be expected. Maybe it’s because she’s going in a different direction this time around.
