It Looks Like Lady Gaga Has Some New Famous Friends

Over the weekend, Lady Gaga decided to fill our Instagram and Twitter feeds with the amazing weekend she was having with some of her new famous friends. Gaga posted photos of her and American Horror Story: Hotel producer Ryan Murphy out with Barbra Streisand and her husband James Brolin.

According to ABC News, Barbra Streisand and her husband hosted not only Lady Gaga and Ryan Murphy to her house on Saturday but also invited famous friends John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston.

Gaga posted a photo on Instagram Saturday night, captioning it “Saturday Night Fever with some wonderful new friends.”

Lady Gaga also posted another photo with Barbra Streisand herself, commenting that they both were funny ladies and saying, “Barbra and me. What a completely amazing woman.”

Barbra also took to her Instagram to share her thoughts of the evening, posting the same group shot that Lady Gaga did and captioning it, “A wonderful evening at home.”

Lady Gaga isn’t new to meeting great musical icons, though. During the Oscars, Lady Gaga paid homage to the great Julie Andrews by singing her own version of “Sound of Music.” Andrews later commented saying that Gaga is a “very new good friend.”

Who knows why this group of famous friends came together. Ryan Murphy and John Travolta do have ties since Travolta is currently working on American Crime Story, according to Us Magazine, which is another great piece of television that Ryan Murphy has his fingers in. Let’s all hope that Barbra and Lady Gaga are doing some sort of amazing duet album together that is both beautiful and awesome and can be turned into a musical television show also featuring John Travolta. That totally seems like it can happen right?

Lady Gaga is currently starring in the latest season of American Horror Story, and her character was revealed to be the owner of the titular hotel and a “very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art and fashion and people.” Photos and videos have already surfaced of Lady Gaga playing her role, and so far it looks totally awesome. The first episode of American Horror Story: Hotel premieres on October 7 on FX.
