Mirko Cro Cop Claims His Next Fight Will Be Against Anthony Hamilton – Will Meet At UFC Fight Night In Seoul, South Korea

For more than 15 years, Mirko Filipović — better known as Mirko Cro Cop — has been making a career in MMA. Since its initiation, Cro Cop has fought in numerous promotions including K-1, Pride, Dream, and UFC. Currently, he stands at 21 wins, 11 losses, two draws, and one no contest. Within that impressive win list, some big names have fallen to Cro Cop including Josh Barnett and Wanderlei Silva. Then of course, there are some not-so-big names like Mostapha al-Turk for example.

Now, it seems Mirko Cro Cop has his next opponent within his sights. Cro Cop says he will fight Anthony Hamilton at an upcoming UFC Fight Night.

At this moment, no official confirmation has been made by UFC or its president, Dana White. Yet, Mirko Cro Cop made it known on his official Facebook page he’ll be facing Anthony Hamilton at the UFC Fight Night coming up in Seoul, South Korea, as reported by Sherdog. It is not known where on the fight card Cro Cop and Hamilton will be placed but fans suspect it will be the main event.

The last fight Mirko Cro Cop participated in was a rematch against Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC Fight Night: Gonzaga vs. Cro Cop 2, on April 11, 2015. According to MMA Fighting, Cro Cop avenged his loss via TKO stoppage with heavy punches and elbows in the third round. As for Anthony Hamiltion, he also competed the same night as Cro Cop in a preliminary fight against Daniel Omielanczuk. The “Freight Train” defeated Omielanczuk via unanimous decision.

For Mirko Cro Cop, this fight will be a continuation of his win streak. By defeating Hamilton, he will extend it to five victories. Hamilton however will need to win to actually start a win streak. Prior to his win against Daniel Omielanczuk, Hamilton lost to Todd Duffee. Before Duffee, he had a win against Ruan Potts. And before Potts, he lost to Oleksiy Oliynyk. Summarized, Hamilton does not consistently win. That however might change if he can pull a victory against Cro Cop.
