Katie Fehlinger’s Facebook: 8 Months Pregnant With Twins, TV Weather Reporter Tells Haters To Stop Body-Shaming

In the day and age of internet bullies, one mom is fighting back against body shaming. Like Sarah Stage, this stunningly beautiful pregnant mom is turning to social media to address her critics.

Surprisingly, the person who received hateful comments was Katie Fehlinger. Katie is a meteorologist out of Philadelphia — and Fehlinger took to Facebook to rail against those who have actually called Fehlinger a “sausage in casing,” reports People.

Katie took a stand against those who said that “sticking your pregnant abdomen out like that is disgusting,” and Fehlinger’s Facebook post has now gone viral as a result. The CBS 3 Philly weather reporter used her personal Facebook page to provide a “message for the haters” that has gone completely viral.

First, Katie let people know she was using Facebook to get the anger off of her chest, with Fehlinger admitting that the nature of Katie’s job as a public figure makes her a target for mean comments.

“Hey guys! Once more, I have to get something off my chest. So, the nature of my job makes me an easy target for criticism. I will always understand that, and I will most typically just ignore it. However, after someone blatantly called me a ‘sausage in casing’ and another declared that ‘sticking your pregnant abdomen out like that is disgusting,’ I felt a need to draw a line and speak up.”

Katie said that people can have their own thoughts, but Fehlinger reminded people there’s a difference between Facebook opinions and hateful Facebook comments, especially targeting pregnant women.

“Everyone’s right to their opinion is important, but so are manners. And while rude comments like these will never make me feel the need to change anything about myself, I find a bigger underlying issue here. These particular nasty-grams were directed at a pregnant woman.”

Katie’s Facebook post is likely going viral because of the way Fehlinger encourages other mothers by them they are beautiful in spite of the haters.

“So this little manifesto of sorts is dedicated to every mother out there – other pregnant moms-to-be, moms reading this while their toddlers play on the swing set, moms whose kids have long since gone off to college… You are beautiful.”

Katie is receiving amazing positive feedback in the wake of Fehlinger’s Facebook post, with the whole Facebook manifesto from Katie’s Facebook page being reprinted on sites like the Huffington Post. Fehlinger is also receiving praise for looking so great and working on her feet eight months into her pregnancy with twins.

Most of all, Katie is being applauded due to Fehlinger putting more emphasis on her twin girls’ health than anything else.

“Frankly, I don’t care how ‘terrible’ or ‘inappropriate’ anyone thinks I look. I will gladly gain 50 pounds & suffer sleepless, uncomfortable nights if it means upping my chances to deliver 2 healthy baby girls. Now it’s about more than aesthetics. I want these babies to have the best start possible. And that hopefully means my belly that ‘looks like it’s about to explode!’ will continue to grow the next few weeks.”

Katie has likely gained a lot more fans on the Fehlinger Facebook page and beyond, especially for repeating a wise lesson from moms everywhere.

“In the meantime, let’s all remember the lesson Mom taught us – if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.”
