Taylor Swift Fights ‘Bad Blood’ With $2 Million Move To Seal Her Sweetheart Image

Taylor Swift’s reputation as the good girl of pop has been shaken recently by bubbling feuds with Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry, particularly with the “Bad Blood” video rumored to be about the latter. Yet despite those diva squabbles, Swift hasn’t escaped the good press that she’s managed to court for much of her career.

British paper the Sunday Express reports that Taylor recently turned down a gig that would have pulled in $2 million because of a prior engagement she had with a certain young man — and this time it’s not Harry Styles.

Instead of belting out a mere three songs at a billionaire’s wedding for a multi-million dollar payday, Swift chose to attend her godson’s christening to perform. The singer was reportedly paid nothing for the appearance.

Leo, the child lucky enough to have one of the world’s most famous musicians perform at his ceremony, is the son of model and actress Jaime King and her filmmaker husband Kyle Newman — both friends of Taylor. Swift was also there to meet Leo when he was just a newborn, excitedly posting about meeting him on Instagram.

Express reported that Taylor was accompanied to the christening by her boyfriend Calvin Harris, currently the world’s highest paid DJ. One guest said that Swift came out in full force with some of her most popular tunes.

“Taylor arrived with her own music backing tracks and belted out some of her biggest hits, including ‘Love Story,’ ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ and ‘Red.’ She even rocked little Leo in her arms and hummed a lullaby to him. But he started screaming almost immediately, so she sheepishly handed him back to his mom.”

Taylor has become known as something of a socialite in the celebrity world. King is just one of a long list of her celebrity pals, many of whom joined her in the “Bad Blood” video. At a record-breaking performance at Los Angeles’ Staples Center this weekend, Swift was joined on stage by a widely diverse cast of famous faces — among them Kobe Bryant, Mary J. Blige, and Chris Rock. Afterward, Taylor went to Twitter to gush about the legendary night, along with some of the other people lucky enough to be backstage, previously reported by the Inquisitr.

Do you think Taylor Swift’s performance for her godson solidifies her wholesome image, or do you still have “Bad Blood” with the pop star?
