For Putin, Donald Trump As President Would Be A Godsend

Donald Trump is one of the most unique presidential candidates in recent times, chiefly because he does not mind going against the grain and speaking his mind, even though some of his statements are derogatory, and has no apologies to make to anyone who finds some of them offensive. Ironically, this rare demeanour has turned Donald Trump into a formidable political force.

Just a few weeks ago, Donald Trump made a negative comment about Megyn Kelly during a call in at CNN saying she had “blood coming out her eyes” and also “blood coming out of her … wherever.” This was after she put him in a corner with hard-hitting questions during the August 6 presidential debate hosted by Fox News, as reported by Daily Edge.

This rattled women across the country and in the following days, they took to social media to highlight the fact that menstruating is not an insult by posting live updates of their periods and addressing them to Donald Trump. The following are some of them.

That aside, Trump recently declared that if elected president, he will try to mend fences with Russia, saying he would get along well with Putin if elected into the White House. The following was his statement in regards to this.

“I think his [Putin’s] dislike of President Obama is so intense that it really has affected the whole relationship. We’ve driven them [Russians] into the arms of China, so that now these two are together, which has always been the great sin… I think he [Putin] is somebody that I would have a very decent relationship with if I ever win.”

This is according to Fox Business.

Donald Trump also elaborated on Obama’s relationship with Putin, saying, “Obama and him, he hates Obama, Obama hates him. We have unbelievably bad relationships,” via CBS News. Donald Trump’s comments were made during a recent trip to Sweden.

Given the current economic hardship experienced by Russians due to sanctions placed by both the EU and America following the country’s invasion of Ukraine, Donald Trump as president would be a godsend to the country and Putin.
