Adam Moran Eats 17 Big Macs In Less Than 60 Minutes [Video]
Thirty-year-old Adam Moran must really love to eat Big Macs.
The New York Daily News reports the competitive eater accepted a challenge to eat 25 Big Macs in 60 minutes or less.

Even though he failed the challenge, he was still able to eat 17 Big Macs within that relatively short period of time.
In order to eat 17 Big Macs in 60 minutes, Adam Moran would have had to maintain an average of one sandwich every three and a half minutes. Therefore, his feat was still very impressive even though he fell short of his original goal.
According to Mirror, his achievement was also good enough to set a new world record.
Other Big Mac lovers might be eager to break the world record, especially since eating one of McDonald’s trademark sandwiches in three and a half minutes may not seem very difficult to do. However, Moran strongly recommends that no one else try this particular challenge based on his own experience.
“It was enjoyable for about seven Big Macs, after that it became exponentially less enjoyable with every bite. Funnily enough, it wasn’t the volume that got me, but the flavor of the gherkins. Had I ordered them without gherkins I might have downed a few more. Afterwards I felt pretty bad, this was one of the more difficult eating stunts I’ve done, and I’d advise against anyone trying to replicate it.”
From a nutrition perspective, eating such a high number of Big Macs at once is not very healthy at all. The official McDonald’s website confirms that a single Big Mac contains 540 calories and 28 grams of fat. By consuming 17 Big Macs in an hour, Adam Moran consumed 9,180 calories and 476 grams of fat.
Moran credited his girlfriend for being by his side to support him during most of his competitive eating challenges.
Eating 17 Big Macs in less than an hour only scratches the surface of what Adam Moran has been able to achieve as a competitive eater. According to the Mirror, he has also eaten 40 Cadbury Creme Eggs as well as the entire KFC Streetwise menu within an hour for previous challenges.
