Miranda Lambert Goes Platinum — Platinum Blonde — After Blake Shelton Divorce

Miranda Lambert has gone platinum — platinum blonde, that is — showing off her new ‘do just a few weeks after her very public, and heartbreaking, divorce from Blake Shelton, MSN is reporting.

“What doesn’t kill you only makes you blonder” Thanks @leewright_hairstylist and @stylehousesalon for the new do! #platinum #blondeshavemorefun”

Back in July, E! Online reported that the 31-year-old Miranda, and her 39-year-old husband, country singer and Voice coach Blake Shelton, had called it quits on their four-year marriage. They had no children together.

“This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”

Although Blake and Miranda did not publicly disclose the reason for their split, the media was rife with speculation. Speaking to Hollywood Life, an unnamed “insider close to the couple” explained that the demands of Miranda’s and Blake’s separate careers proved too much for the couple to handle.

“The divorce definitely has to do with how their careers changed their attitudes. Miranda really changed the more popular she has become and Blake has stayed the same. They used to be perfect for each other but now they are oil and water,… They would get into fights for the stupidest reasons and he enjoys things to be as drama free as possible. As the relationship and their careers grew, they grew apart. He really wanted to make it work but he reached his limit and had to move on to make him feel better about himself.”

Since their divorce, Miranda has been “living on caffeine and sad songs,” she said to fans at a recent show. She’s also taking solace in four-legged friends: earlier this month she posted an Instagram photo of herself riding her beloved horse, Sophie.

“Sophie hugs. Nothin’ better! #sofa #gypsyvanners #unicornsforever”

Miranda talked to the Horse Channel not too long ago, explaining how she’s trying to get used to being a skilled rider.

“I love how big and beautiful they are, but also how sweet and loving they are at the same time. I eventually want to get comfortable going faster, but right now I am just enjoying getting to know my horses better while riding them.”

With her horse therapy and her new ‘do, it looks like Miranda Lambert may be turning the corner on her life after her divorce.
