Dean McDermott Fails To Pay Child Support, Legal Documents Filed Against ‘True Tori’ Star [Video]
Dean McDermott, the husband of Tori Spelling, has been accused of failing to pay child support by his ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace. Legal documents have been filed to force Dean to make the child support payments for a son McDermott shares with Eustace. Their child, Jack, is 16-years-old.
The story is another tale in the financial saga shared by Spelling and McDermott, who reportedly can barely support themselves, despite their enviable life. According to the Daily Mail, Mary Jo says that Dean owes over $8,700 and has failed to make child support payments for five months. Documents obtained by In Touch Weekly show that Dean owes his ex-wife quite a bit of money, and he might pay the price for failing to make his child support payments on time.
A source close to Dean McDermott was adamant in an interview with In Touch Weekly that Dean “is a deadbeat dad” and confirmed he isn’t paying his child support. According to the source, McDermott has 30 days to pay up.
According to the Daily Mail, McDermott left his ex-wife to marry Tori Spelling. Dean and Mary Jo married in 1993. However, after Dean and Tori met on the set of a 2005 made-for-television movie, Dean fell head over heels in love with Spelling. McDermott and Spelling now have four children together, Liam, Stella, Hattie, and Finn.
McDermott and Spelling have made news recently due to their financial woes, and Dean’s failure to pay child support is just the next chapter in the story. According to the Daily Mail, Dean McDermott and his family moved from a rented home in Encino to a much smaller one in Calabasas due to dwindling resources. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Tori even admitted on an episode of her Lifetime Network television show, True Tori, that she and her husband are having a difficult time making ends meet — including paying for Dean’s 16-year-old child.
Tori confessed, “We live paycheck to paycheck,” and admitted that once True Tori finished production, “I have no f***ing idea if work’s going to come in. Like, how am I going to support my family in six months?”
Even though her father, Aaron Spelling, was a multi-millionaire who produced classic television hits such as The Love Boat, Charlie’s Angels, and Beverly Hills, 90210, Tori received only a small amount, about $800,000 of the $600 million fortune, when her father passed away in 2006. She and Dean McDermott have tried making ends meet by taking on any television appearance they could, as well as product endorsements. However, it seems the couple hasn’t made enough to pay McDermott’s child support.
