Duggar Family: Jim Bob & Michelle On Josh Duggar Scandal As He Removes Porno Addiction Comment — Will Anna Exit?

The Duggar family, represented by patriarch Jim Bob and matriarch Michelle, issued a statement on their web site about Josh in the wake of cheating allegations. Both Jim Bob and Michelle were honest in their preface to their son’s own admission.

“Please see the statement below from our son Josh regarding recent media stories about him,” wrote the representatives of the Duggar family. “When we learned of this late last night our hearts were broken.”

In addition, Michelle and Jim Bob wrote that they were trusting God and seeking prayers for all of the now-cancelled 19 Kids And Counting clan. After their preface, their son wrote his own admission of guilt.

But someone subsequently edited the confession about an addiction to pornography, reported Entertainment Tonight.

“I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife,” wrote the 27-year-old in his initial statement.

Although the reference to wife Anna Duggar remained, the family web site statement has been edited to remove his secret viewing of pornography and comment about addiction.

The Duggar family web site comments result from reports that Josh had two accounts on Ashley Madison, designed for those looking for extramarital relationships.

This scandal hits the Duggar family particularly hard because it follows in the wake of the news that he had molested five underage girls when he was in his teens. Four of those girls were his sisters.

Anna has remained with her husband throughout the scandals. Wed in 2008, the couple’s children include a baby, Meredith, who was born in July. Marcus is 2, Mackynzie is 5, and Michael is 4.

“I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time,” Duggar added.

What does the future hold for Anna? She has insisted that she believed in her husband.

“[He is] someone who had gone down a wrong path and had humbled himself before God and those whom he had offended,” said Anna. “Someone who had received the help needed to change the direction of his life and do what is right.””

But even before police reports circulated that he molested five underage girls when he was a teenager, Anna shared a quote on forgiveness, as the Inquisitr reported.

“The three most beautiful and liberating words in the English language are these: ‘I forgive you.’ – Lon Solomon.”

And Anna wasn’t alone in sharing meaningful quotes on that day.

“Do right and risk the consequences,” posted Josh, reflecting the statement of soldier and Texas governor Sam Houston.

But what did Anna know even before she married into the famous Duggar family? It now turns out that she was aware of exactly what had happened two years prior to the marriage proposal.

“I was surprised at his openness and humility and at the same time didn’t know why he was sharing it. For Josh, he wanted not just me but my parents to know who he really was – even very difficult past mistakes.”

As for whether Anna will now exit the marriage, insiders believe that she will stay with her husband, reported Perez Hilton.

Moreover, she’s following the Duggar family’s parents by relying on her religious beliefs, said the insider.

“Anna will not leave him,” asserted the source. “As with her in-laws, she is turning more to her faith than ever, she and Josh are probably praying around the clock right now, I would assume. There is no way is she leaving him.”
