Man Arrested Outside Disneyland Entrance With Loaded Gun, Ammo — Says Ghosts Told Him To Shoot People

A man was arrested outside the main entrance of Disneyland after security noticed him carrying a weapon on him. Percival Aguilar Agoncillo was arrested back in early July after allegedly carrying a loaded firearm and a good amount of ammo on him, and attempting to enter the theme park. He had advised police that ghosts had told him to shoot people.

KTLA has reported that the 44-year-old Agoncillo was arrested on July 9, and charged on July 13 with being a felon carrying a loaded firearm in public, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of ammunition by a prohibited person.

The report states that the incident happened in the area between the entrances of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. This is an area beyond a security checkpoint.

Disney security alerted authorities, and the Anaheim Police Department were called to the area just before 9 p.m. They had reported a man with a gun and Disney security noticed a “bulge” on the man’s chest.

Lt. Eric Trapp with the Anaheim Police Department first said park guests noticed the man acting suspiciously and reported him, but later clarified that it was Disneyland security who first noticed Agoncillo.

Plainclothes police detectives found Agoncillo with a loaded gun and ammunition on him. He was arrested and later posted $20,000 bail and was released.

Disneyleaks is reporting that there is much more to the story, actually. Their report states that a half hour before the Disneyland nightly fireworks, a lone, heavy-set, middle-aged Asian man had come out of one of the exits of Disney California Adventure near the Tower of Terror attraction.

Later, Agoncillo reportedly told police that he had seen the ghosts of his deceased father and grandfather inside of the attraction. He also said that he heard voices in his head telling him to start shooting his gun, which he sneaked into the Disney park on his person.

Agoncillo said he brought the gun into the park after seeing “a jet plane while on the ride, disturbing his father and grandfather.”

That report states that Agoncillo had actually drawn his weapon and was quickly surrounded by authorities and security in the busy Disney Esplanade area between the two parks.

Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said that he was not actually aware of such plans by the suspect. He also could not go into detail about the investigation/case, but said he was not aware of a motive by Agoncillo.

“We’re not aware of there being any plan to endanger or harm anyone at this point. Obviously there are … certain things … we can’t reveal because there is a criminal prosecution that’s underway.”

In January, 2013, Percival Agoncillo was convicted in San Mateo County Superior Court for possession of an illegal drug while armed with a loaded gun. he has also been arrested a number of other times for different charges.
