Eva Longoria Talks About Split With Tony Parker

Eva Longoria
is finally opening up about her split with NBA star Tony Parker, and his alleged infidelity, nearly a year after their divorce was finalized.

Longoria spoke about her split with Parker on Thursday night’s episode of Lifetime’s new show, The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet. When asked about Parker’s infidelity, and how it made Eva feel, the 37-year-old actress had this to say (via Us Weekly):

“I am so secure in who I am. I really am! And I’m not conceited. I just think, “Wow, okay, that’s the life you want to live.’ It wasn’t about who he chose. I mean, I had moments [where I wondered], ‘Am I not sexy enough? Am I not pretty enough? Am I not smart enough?’ But in so many of those questions, I immediately stopped and said, ‘No, don’t start doing that.’ Because you can get stuck in that cycle and you can carry on to other things.”

Longoria went on to say in the interview that it was difficult confronting Parker about his “sexts” to Erin Barry, the wife of a former NBA player, but the actress says that it was important for her to understand why Parker did what he did–and she’s glad she did confront him.

“Even having the conversation, I really wanted to provide a pillow for him to say and express ‘the why.’ Because I really wanted to know why,” Longoria explained. “‘I don’t want to judge you. I’m not going to judge you. I’m not going to be mad in this moment. I’ll be mad later.'”

So how is Longoria holding up now, roughly sixteen months since her split with Parker? If her comments in the interview are any indication, she’s doing quite well–she says she’s now starting to have “a lot of fun” again.

“I’m in a transitional state where I have no rules and I have no boundaries, and I don’t really want to put those back up.”
