Powerball Winning Numbers August 19: Watch $80 Million Jackpot Drawing Live Online

Do you have the winning Powerball numbers for August 19? The jackpot now stands at $80 million — match all six numbers on your ticket and you will be an instant muti-millionaire.

The Powerball drawing takes place every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m ET. Watch the drawing live online or by downloading the free LotteryHUB app on your iPhone or Android device.

The winning Powerball numbers for August 19 are: 6-8-43-48-50 PB 7 Power Play 2

The jackpot continues to rise with no winner since August 1 when a lucky lottery player in California won $110 million. The last drawing on August 15 did not produce a Powerball jackpot winner (3-13-17-42-52 PB 24), but there were two players (Iowa, New Jersey) who won $1 million each for matching five numbers, and one person (LA) who won $2 million — they paid an extra $1 for the Powerplay feature, doubling the $1 million prize.

There are eight ways to win non-jackpot prizes that range in value from $4 to $1 million. Here are the number combinations you will need to win a non-jackpot Powerball prize.

  • Five white balls – $1,000,000
  • 4 white balls and the red Powerball — $10,000 (this will increase to $50K in October 2015)
  • 4 white balls — $100
  • 3 white balls and the red Powerball — $100
  • 3 white balls — $7
  • 2 white balls and the red Powerball — $7
  • 1 white ball and the red Powerball — $4
  • Powerball — $4

How much will you take home if you win tonight’s $80 million jackpot? According to CNN Money, 25 percent of the jackpot prize will be deducted immediately and the winner will instantly be pushed into the highest tax bracket. Although taxes on the jackpot winnings will be taxed immediately, the winner will still owe approximately 39.6 percent of their other income to Uncle Sam at tax time due to the tax bracket the winnings will put them in.

Winners can choose from a lump-sum payment based on the approximate cash value of the jackpot ($51.2 million) or a 30-year annuity with payments of approximately $2 million each issued to the winner on an annual basis.

In addition to federal taxes, if the winner lives in a state that taxes lottery winnings, the percentage that the state charges will be deducted from the winner’s payment. States that currently do not tax lottery prizes include California, Delaware, Florida, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming.

Powerball tickets cost $2 each, with an additional $1 charged if the PowerPlay feature is selected. Tickets are sold at lottery retailers in 44 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
