Subway Jared Fogle’s Wife Files For Divorce After Child Pornography Plea Deal

Katie Fogle, the wife of former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle, has filed for divorce soon after his plea deal that will land him in jail for at least five years.

TMZ is reporting that Katie Fogle has put out a statement that describes her intent, explaining that she is shocked and disappointed.

“I am in the process of seeking a dissolution of the marriage. My focus is exclusively on the well-being of my children. Neither I nor my family will have any further comment on the matter.”

As reported in the Inquisitr, Jared Fogle has gotten himself into some serious hot water after the head of his non profit was thrown in prison after a child pornography investigation by the FBI found a large amount of images of underaged children on his computer at Jared Fogle’s residence.

At that point, Subway and Jared decided to part ways via a public statement, which said that Jared Fogle was continuing to cooperate with authorities. But after that, things got worse for Fogle, as texts were discovered where he boasted about having sex for money with a teenaged girl.

According to People Magazine, Katie Fogle is eager to dissolve her marriage, as her husband pleads guilty to distributing child pornography and traveling across state lines to have sex with a minor. Jared Fogle’s attorney, Jeremy Margolis, has said that Jared is ill and needs to recover.

“Jared also understands that he requires significant psychiatric medical treatment and counseling. He has already begun that process by being extensively examined by a world-renowned expert in sexual conditions in order to chart a course to recovery. It is Jared’s intent and goal to become healthy again.”

Katie Fogle says she was blindsided by this entire even, and wants to end her 15-year marriage as quickly as possible. The Fogles have two children that Katie Fogle is trying to keep out of the spotlight. In the last month, the Fogle home has been turned upside down as Federal investigators have removed computers and documents, searching for the trail that would allow them to wrap up the child pornography ring that was possibly led by Fogle associate, Russell Taylor.

Fogle will serve five to 12-and-a-half years behind bars for his crimes.
