Chad Michael Murray Shares Emotional Tribute To His Deceased Dog
Actor Chad Michael Murray pulled the heartstrings of a lot of people on Tuesday when he shared an emotionally-stirring tribute to his recently deceased dog, Joe.
The tribute was shared within the caption of an Instagram collage depicting precious moments between Chad and Joe that were caught on camera.
He starts his letter to Joe with a term of endearment that made it apparently clear how close he was to his canine companion.
“My best bud & 1st born son Joe…”
Chad Michael Murray went on to sincerely thank his longtime friend for being there for him over the years, as well as teaching him valuable life lessons that made him a better man as a result.
“Thank you for everything you’ve ever done for me. You’ve been my kindred spirit, my unconditional friend. Thank you for carrying the weight that I could not. You taught me more about selflessness and compassion than I thought a dog could know. Thank you for always keeping the status Quo. Even the dogs at the dog park thank you for keeping the peace.”
The 33-year-old actor and Joe spent nearly 15 years together. Chad stated in his tribute to his dog that he is “so grateful for every minute” and adventure that they shared together over the years.
The way that the former One Tree Hill star concluded his tribute to his longtime friend and sidekick, though, perhaps delivers the most powerful part of the entire message.
“Rest easy now bud. Check in on us once and while would ya… You’re missed and always will be. Thx for waiting to meet my son. This family won’t be the same without you but so much stronger because of you. Rest in peace Joey. We Love You, Chad, Sarah & Baby Murray”
Back in January, multiple reports confirmed that Chad Michael Murray was a husband, as well as an expecting father. Married to actress (and Chosen co-star) Sarah Roehmer, Chad welcomed his firstborn son in late May.
Murray confirmed the news to his fans and followers with a simple tweet.

In an interview for the May 2015 issue of Bello magazine, Chad Michael Murray mentioned that becoming a father was the “greatest thing in the whole world.” Murray expressed that he was “going to sit back and enjoy this new chapter.”
