Jared Fogle’s Wife Files For Divorce: Jared Will Plead Guilty And Go To Jail For At Least Five Years [Video]
The wife of Jared Fogle is filing for divorce, according to E! News following news that Jared, the former spokesperson for Subway, will plead guilty to several federal child pornography charges. Fogle’s wife said in a statement regarding her pending divorce, “Obviously, I am extremely shocked and disappointed by the recent developments involving Jared. I am in the process of seeking a dissolution of the marriage.”
Fogle’s wife continued that her major concern is for her children. “My focus is exclusively on the well-being of my children. Neither I nor my family will have any further comment on the matter,” including her divorce. Fogle’s wife asked for “respect for my family’s privacy during this difficult time” as she completes her divorce.
Jared Fogle is expected to enter a plea deal today regarding his child pornography charges, although the judge has yet to sign off on the plea bargain. According to TMZ, Fogle has agreed to spend at least five years behind bars.

On the heels of the news his wife will file for divorce, court documents obtained by E! News, which were filed on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, reveal that Fogle has reached a plea deal with his prosecutors. Fogle will plead guilty to two federal counts including distributing and receiving visual depictions of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct and conspiring with others to do so. Fogle will also plead guilty to traveling across state lines to engage in unlawful commercial sexual acts with minors.
According to E! News, authorities entered the Indiana home shared by Fogle and his wife last July after a former executive director of Fogle’s foundation, Russell Taylor, was arrested on charges related to child pornography. Business Insider broke the story that the FBI subpoenaed an affidavit that described texts between Fogle and a former female Subway franchisee. Those texts allegedly describe a situation in which Fogle paid for sex with a 16-year-old girl.
Jared’s wife isn’t the only one to end their relationship with Fogle. Subway terminated any affiliation with their former spokesperson in April, and yesterday took to Twitter to announce that “We no longer have a relationship with Jared and we have no further comment.” In an earlier statement, Subway had said the pair “mutually agreed to suspend their relationship due to the current investigation…Both Jared and Subway agree that this was the appropriate step to take.” Fogle’s wife has not issued any further statements regarding her divorce.
