Bethenny Frankel Asks Celebrity To Join ‘RHONY’ For Season Eight: See Who!

Bethenny Frankel has yet to confirm her season eight return to The Real Housewives of New York City, but according to an August 18 report by AllAboutTRH, she’s already recruiting new talent for the series. Earlier this week, claimed the site, Jenny McCarthy claimed during an airing of her Sirius XM talk show that Bethenny Frankel had requested she join the Bravo reality series for its yet-to-be-confirmed eighth season.

“[Bethenny Frankel] emailed me and asked me if I would be a part of the housewives of New York,” McCarthy revealed.

However, while Bethenny Frankel may feel McCarthy would be great for the series, McCarthy isn’t so sure she’s ready to be thrown into the dramatic group of women — at least not without pre-planning her role.

“I like watching the drama. The problem is I’d have to go in with a choice, and that is to be the peaceful warrior or the s–t starter. I don’t know which one I’d enjoy doing. I don’t want to ruin anybody’s life, but a lot of those b—hes need a slap in the face!”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Bethenny Frankel and the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City may see some major changes ahead of the upcoming season. In addition to the reported exit of Bethenny Frankel’s co-star, Heather Thomson, and the rumored firing of Kristen Taekman, rumors claim producers are eying a new housewife, Lora Drasner.

“She’s been offered a slot multiple times and is speaking with producers, but she is doing her due diligence. She is asking a million questions and asking current cast members out to lunch and shopping trips to try to feel them out. She’s interested (in Real Housewives), but she’s not sure what it entails. Bravo really really wants her.”

Bethenny Frankel appeared on the Bravo series for years before leaving ahead of season four to pursue her own spinoff with her now-estranged husband Jason Hoppy. Following three seasons of her spinoff, Bethenny Frankel moved on to a talk show, which aired on Fox, but was ultimately canceled due to low ratings. Then, ahead of The Real Housewives of New York City season seven, Bethenny Frankel announced she would be returning, and earlier this year, she made her debut.

For more Bethenny Frankel, tune into The Real Housewives of New York City‘s three-part season seven reunion, continuing tonight at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
