Vicki Gunvalson & Brooks Ayers Split: ‘RHOC’ Breakup Secrets Revealed

Vicki Gunvalson and Brooks Ayers announced their split on Sunday, and already, the former Real Housewives of Orange County couple has faced a number of rumors regarding the end of their four-year relationship.

In the latest development in Vicki Gunvalson’s breakup on August 18, Radar Online has revealed several secrets behind their split, the first of which alleged the couple actually separated three weeks ago. While Vicki Gunvalson didn’t announce her breakup from Ayers until August 16, she and her longtime boyfriend ended their relationship in July.

“It is an amicable separation, but the relationship is definitely over for good. Brooks’ health really needs to be his number one priority right now and [Vicki Gunvalson] wants to see him live a long and full life. He needs to focus on his recovery and the added stress is definitely not good for his health.”

According to Radar Online‘s source, Vicki Gunvalson’s boyfriend was under a lot of stress because of his villain portrayal on The Real Housewives of Orange County. During Season 10, Ayers was accused of lying about his cancer diagnosis by a number of Vicki Gunvalson’s co-stars, and because of that, he was more focused on defending himself than battling the life-threatening illness.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Vicki Gunvalson announced her split from Ayers in an emotional post on Facebook. In a joint statement, Vicki Gunvalson claimed she and Ayers had been in counseling prior to their breakup, but ultimately decided to end their relationship after four years of dating.

“We both wish nothing but a great future for each other. We have come to realize that one can indeed love someone in their heart, but that the time may come for their lives to take separate paths. Though the remaining episodes of Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Orange County will show us as a couple, the filming took place in January 2015 through May 2015. There will be no further statements or interviews regarding our relationship as we choose to move on with our lives. Though we choose to live our lives in the public eye we thank you for your understanding and ask privacy during this difficult time.”

Vicki Gunvalson has yet to give any details behind the reason for her and Ayers’ split, although many have claimed it was due to a “humiliating” storyline on the show.
