Luke Hemmings: 5SOS Star Embarrassed By His Songwriting

5 Seconds Of Summer Star Luke Hemmings has admitted that he is embarrassed by his early songwriting. Hemmings and his 5SOS band-mates, Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin and Michael Clifford are now on a headline arena tour but it seems that the early days were not so easy. According to Rolling Stone, Hemmings is embarrassed by all of the songs he produced when he first started writing music, but is happier with some of the songs he pulled together with bass player Calum Hood.

Luke’s embarrassment over his songwriting wasn’t the only secret that Hemmings gave away to Rolling Stone either. Hemmings also let slip that Michael Clifford was the 5SOS “bad boy” because he hardly ever went to school. Luke revealed that he didn’t have many friends while he was at school so he would be “waiting for Calum to get off his bus.” Luke recalls that one day Calum didn’t turn up at school so after his first class he skipped school and went to Calum’s house.

“When I got there, he had our song ‘Out Of My Limits’ half written, and I remember finishing the second verse with him. That was a cool moment.”

Since those days Hemmings and 5 Seconds of Summer have built a huge following and are currently in the middle of their first world tour as headliners. As recently reported in Inquisitr it has even been claimed that Luke and his mates are “paving the way for a new punk generation”

It seems unlikely that any of Hemmings young fans will understand Luke’s embarrassment over his early songwriting after 5SOS appeared on last nights Teen Choice Awards show to perform their latest hit “She’s Kinda Hot.” The performance went down a storm even though Michael Clifford was reportedly ill. Unreality TV report that after the show 5SOS fans began to trend the hashtag #GetWellSoonMichael urging the young star to take better care of his health.

Hemmings and his 5SOS pals failed to bag any of the Teen Choice Awards despite being nominated in a number of categories. On the night the big winners were One Direction who scooped eight awards.

Last week Hemmings and his mates announced that their sophomore album Sounds Good, Feels Good will be released in October and it is hotly tipped to go straight to No 1 when it hits the shelves. The lead single from the album “She’s Kinda Hot” already has almost 10 million views on YouTube and hit the No 1 spot all over the world.
