Taylor Swift’s Tumblr Reveals Her Good Side And Her Not-So Good Side

Taylor Swift has been using Tumblr as a way to reach out to her fans. While most of her fans appreciate the time that Taylor takes to read and respond to their posts, the general public may have a different impression of the singer.

Some would say that Taylor Swift has Tumblr down. She had to quickly adapt to the teen lingo on the micro-blogging site. Swift also learned how to post memes and gifs, including her own meme: “No, it’s Becky.”

The “Bad Blood” singer has also used Tumblr to reach out to her fans and give advice on their problems. A 15-year-old fan under the name Stormie asked Swift about how she can get over those back-to-school jitters while dealing with anxiety and loneliness.

“I’ve been feeling so alone lately and left out of everything and so terrified of school starting and being even more alone next week and knowing taylor is there is really comforting.”

Taylor reached out to the fan, writing, “Knowing your worth sometimes comes from without any proof at all. You’re worth more than flaky friends and people who dismiss you, or underestimate you.”

Stormie was obviously very happy that Swift took the time to respond. She responded back to the 1989 hit maker, writing: “I really needed to hear it tonight and I’m really grateful to have her in my life. This really helped me and I hope it helps everyone else.”

Although Taylor takes the time to read and respond posts by her fans, she does receive her share of criticism on the blogging site. As previously reported via Pop Dust, Taylor forgot about the 13-year-old boy who was injured seriously at her concert in Seattle last weekend.

The fan fell from an upper level of Seattle’s Century Link Field. According to the report, his condition was upgraded to satisfactory on Monday. Some find that lack of response from Swift quite baffling since she always makes sure to pay attention to all of her fans. Swift has even gone as far as to host listening parties at her Nashville home and to send gifts to her fans.

Maybe it’s because Taylor Swift is too busy “liking” posts about herself on Tumblr. She’s even made her likes public, so that the public can see what she reads about. Celebrity gossip site, Oh No They Didn’t! uncovered some of Taylor’s “Tumblr likes” and it’s not so pretty. Most of the posts that the singer-songwriter “likes” are posts that claim how great she is.

Some would go as far as to call her likes narcissistic, egotistical, and self-serving. Meanwhile, others would argue that Swift is simply “liking” the Tumblr posts to let her fans know that she cares what they say about her. However, it makes her look sort of egotistical to the general public.

No matter what side of the argument you’re on, you could say that Taylor Swift’s Tumblr likes prove how obsessed she is with herself and her fan base. What are your thoughts? Do you think that Swift’s just doing her job by reaching out to her fans? Or, do you think she’s a little obsessed? Share your thoughts below in the comments section.
