‘House For Sale’ Sign, Viral: Texas Woman Puts Out Jaw-Dropping Sign Explaining Why She’s Selling Her Home [Photo]

In a perfect world, everyone gets along with their neighbors, forging meaningful friendships that last a lifetime. It would be relatively common for neighbors to attend family cookouts and conduct well-checks when one or the other is away from home.

However, in reality, things don’t necessarily work out the way we might envision and one woman’s tumultuous relationship with her neighbor is a prime example. In fact, their disagreements have gotten so bad that she’s decided to sell her home – or at least that’s the way it seems. However, the home’s “For Sale” sign has garnered more attention than the house itself and it’s all because of her jaw-dropping reason for wanting to sell.

According to CBS-DFW, Lisa Price insists the problems with her neighbor are so bad she’s willing to sell her Farmer’s Branch, Texas, home. It has been reported that she’s looking to rid her life of an annoying neighbor and she has made her sentiments quite clear with the details she included on her “For Sale” sign. The advertisement reads, “House for sale by owner because my neighbor’s a douchebag.” Of course, the attention-grabbing sign has caught the attention of motorists who have passed the home.

But, apparently, Price’s disdain for her neighbor didn’t happen overnight. She revealed it all started when the neighbor began filing repeated complaints with the city in regards to her barking dogs. Although the complaints were frustrating, Price revealed she reached her breaking point when she received a $121.00 ticket from the city due to yet another complaint about her barking dogs. She also insists he was well aware of their dogs before he moved in next door. “He knew we had dogs when he moved in,” she said.

While the sign has definitely attracted a number of interested buyers, Price admits that she actually has no intentions of selling her home, but she hopes the offensive sign speaks volumes, reports Fox 4 News. “I mean, we were just hoping that the sign would maybe make him realize that he’s pushed us too far, and back off on us,” said Price. “We didn’t know what else to do. Thought maybe that would help him to back off,” she said.

Surprisingly, others who also reside in the neighborhood see absolutely nothing wrong with Price’s sign. In fact, some neighbors who found it quite comical have actually supported her. I think it’s marvelous,” said neighbor Jim Jay. “It could have been a lot cruder.”

But of course, there are others who have criticized Price for her actions. “The sign’s a little distasteful. It’s not what I put out there, but it’s made its point,” she said. However, the city has stated that the sign does not violate any city ordinances so it does not have to be removed.
