‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Spoilers: New Teasers For Meredith, Arizona’s Love Life, And More

Grey’s Anatomy is getting ready for Season 12, and fans are receiving some new inside scoop on what is coming up next for the staff of Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital.

TV Line shared some new spoilers for Arizona and Callie. Previous spoilers teased a romance for Callie with a new woman in the works, but Callie will not be the only one exploring a romance post-marriage.

Arizona will also move on with a new woman during Grey’s Anatomy Season 12. Shonda Rhimes teased that Arizona and Callie will “both be dating women.” She did not say when those new relationships would pop up, but it does appear that the former married couple is moving on with their lives separately.

As for Meredith, she will return to Ellis’ old home, but she will not be living their alone. Rhimes revealed that Maggie and Amelia would move in with Meredith next season. The three women shared a moment that ended the Season 11 finale. That moment foreshadowed this new arrangement.

Rhimes teased more about the arrangement to TV Line.

“Remember how we never saw last season where Maggie lives? Now she lives with Amelia and Meredith in Ellis’ house, which is super cool. There will definitely be some conflict, but of the hilarious variety as opposed to the sisters-pulling-each-other’s-hair-out variety. You can expect some ‘clashes of the titans’ going on.”

Rhimes also revealed that she plans to explore Maggie’s love life more next season. She made it clear during Season 11 that she is not an easy woman to date, but Rhimes could fix that by finding the right man for her.

As for Jackson and April, their relationship is hanging off the edge of a cliff, and it does appear the two will split at the start of Season 12. A previous Inquisitr report revealed that April did go overseas after Jackson’s ultimatum, and that causes the end of their marriage.

Shonda Rhimes teased some more about the pair to Entertainment Weekly.

“April’s really changed and she’s really done this thing that’s not necessarily the best thing for their marriage and Jackson’s not happy about it. Does that mean it’s over? And does she accept that it’s over? Because this is a lighter season, we found funny ways to tell what’s a very emotional story — more of a charming way to tell an emotional story, but it is still emotional and they are still figuring it out. April is fighting for things to be better. I honestly haven’t decided how it’s going to turn out. I love them together, so we’ll see.”

There are some other small things that fans should be excited about next season. Bailey fans will see the return of “classic Bailey.” She wants to be chief, and she is willing to do whatever it takes to get herself into that job.

Chandra Wilson teased some more about Bailey to Zap2It.

“[You’ll see] some self-confidence that you haven’t seen in a while from her coming out. This is a really important step for her, just as important as getting on the board. I think being the chief is kind of the pinnacle of her career. It looks like from what I’m reading in the next script, she’s across the board giving people a hard time. That’s why I’m saying it’s some classic Bailey about to come out.”

Season 12 will have some big changes. With Derek Shepherd gone, the hospital is in chaos. Meredith has returned, but she is still dealing with the loss of her husband. Some speculation has teased the return of Sandra Oh to the series, but Ellen Pompeo is focused on playing Meredith as a widow, according to Venture Capital Post.

Ellen Pompeo spoke about that challenge in a recent interview.

“So many people lose their spouses in a myriad of different ways and feel they can’t get up again and to tell the story of how life goes on after… that’s a story worth telling.”
