Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe Enjoy Girls’ Night Out
Miranda Lambert and her BFF Ashley Monroe recently enjoyed a much needed girls’ night out.
Monroe has undoubtedly been there for her pal since she announced her divorce from her husband, fellow country music superstar Blake Shelton, and on Thursday, August 13, she continued to show her support for her friend by taking her out on the town.
Monroe shared an adorable photo of her and Lambert on Instagram. The photo was captioned with the words “date night” and showed the girls showing off their beaming smiles. Miranda later shared the photo as well, captioning it by saying, “I feel like I’m on to something good,” which referenced Monroe’s solo song “On to Something Good,” according to Us Weekly.
The pair, who are part of the Pistol Annies with Angaleena Presley, performed together just last month at a Nashville club on July 22. Monroe was promoting her new album The Blade and joined Lambert on stage to perform her hit single “Heart Like Mine.”
“It means a lot to me that she’s even up on stage with me,” Monroe told Entertainment Tonight following their performance. “She’s a very brave person and I look up to her a lot for it.”
The impromptu duet took place just days after Miranda and Blake announced their divorce.
“This is not the future we envisioned,” the former couple said in a joint statement at the time, according to People Magazine. “And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
Ashley Monroe was also the latest topic of Miranda and Blake’s twitter conversation. Apparently, the former couple is still good friends and took to Twitter to help promote their friends’ new album.

“When I saw the tweets I was like, ‘Oh my gosh!’ Then I was thinking, ‘This puts me in the middle and I don’t know what’s happening! But it took a not-so-fun situation and put the attention on me! I loved it,” Monroe said, according to a previous report by the Inquisitr. “Blake is one of my best friends and so is she. So they both love me so much.”
