Shakira has joined the cast of Disney’s Zootopia and will be playing the part of a sexy gazelle, who is simply named Gazelle.
Shakira made the announcement herself on Friday, August 14 at the D23 Expo 2015, which was held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, according to Zee News. The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer will be lending her voice for the part of Gazelle, a pop star in a world of animals and will also be performing a song titled “Try Everything” for the film. According to USA Today, the song was written by singer-songwriter Sia and the songwriting duo Stargate.

Shakira later tweeted that she was “thrilled” to be playing the character. “I am thrilled to announce that I will be playing Gazelle in
@DisneyAnimation’s #Zootopia,” she wrote, adding “I’ll be singing a brand new song for the movie called “Try Everything”! Shak.”

Zootopia also stars Ginnifer Goodwin (Once Upon a Time, Something Borrowed, and Walk the Line) as the rookie rabbit officer Judy Hopps. Byron Howard (Tangled) and Rich Moore (Wreck-It Ralph) served as the directors for the film, with Clark Spencer (Wreck-It Ralph) producing. Jason Bateman and Alan Tudyk will also star in the animated film.
