‘Hawaii Five-0’ Spoilers: Kono And Adam’s Honeymoon Gets Off To A Rough Start

First, he nearly ruins the wedding by showing up in the parking lot. Now, he’s going to ruin a honeymoon – or at least postpone it. The “he” being discussed is, of course, Gabriel on Hawaii Five-0, and he’s going to be a thorn in the sides of multiple members of the team when season 6 begins – and will mean pain for a couple of newlyweds.

In the Hawaii Five-0 season 5 finale, Chin Ho had to make a quick detour to the parking lot to get the rings before Kono and Adam’s wedding could begin (and this was after it had already been delayed due to the team having to dispose of a nuclear bomb before it could destroy the island). That was when Gabriel found him and told him he was wrong about Adam, and that Chin was still family – all with a gun in his face. He wants Chin to repay the debt he feels he is owed and offered a deal: half of what he made would go to Chin in exchange for staying out of his way. However, Chin is not going to take a bribe, even if there are still those out there who look at him like a dirty cop.

Unfortunately, Gabriel’s not going away, even though he left Chin alive there at his car. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kono and Adam’s wedding will be happening off-screen. TVLine posted CBS’ description of the Hawaii Five-0 season 6 premiere, and it’s Chin’s cousin who is going to be getting hurt.

“In the sixth season premiere, a murder leads Five-0 to investigate a centuries-old pirate story involving buried treasure, and it seems that the killer is using the back of a stolen painting as a treasure map. Also, the morning after their wedding, Kono and Adam (Ian Anthony Dale) are kidnapped and tortured by Gabriel (Christopher Sean), and Danny shows concern for McGarrett regarding Catherine’s return to the island.”

Entertainment Weekly has a bit more information about the kidnapping from executive producer Peter Lenkov as he explained Gabriel’s motivation and how it differs from McGarrett’s experience with Wo Fat.

“Gabriel was stripped of everything and he’s trying to rebuild everything. It’s not a personal thing like Wo Fat was with McGarrett. It’s all about his power, wealth and position.”

As for what the kidnapping and torture mean for Kono and Adam, it’s going to be “the worst first night of their honeymoon that anyone can ever have,” the EP teased, so in other words, those two are going to need a vacation – and perhaps medical leave – after this experience.

In other Hawaii Five-0 season 6 news, EW has also reported that NFL wide receiver Jerry Rice will be appearing in episode 4. He bumps into the team when they are relaxing after work.

Of the guest spot, Lenkov has said, “Jerry Rice is an NFL legend, as well as just an outstanding gentleman, and we are so glad to have him join the Five-0 ohana for this episode. And considering McGarrett and Chin’s [Daniel Dae Kim] former glory days of high school football and the team’s annual football games, perhaps Jerry can give them a few pointers.”

Hawaii Five-0 season 6 premieres Friday, September 25 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
