WWE News: Former WWE Diva Chyna Claims She Chose Playboy Over Winning WWE Championship
Former WWE Diva Chyna has been in the news a lot lately. Usually, whenever Chyna is in the news, there is some worry as fans aren’t used to her delivering something good. This time around, she said something that made many fans sit back and question her, which isn’t anything new. Chyna was on the Bell 2 Bell Podcast with Chris Duke, Grue, and Chaz Phoenix.
When asked if WWE ever contemplated giving her the WWE Championship, she had a surprising response.
“Yes, there certainly was, it was actually in the pipeline and ready to happen, but when Playboy came along and wanted me to pose for them, I had to make a choice. Vince told me that if I did playboy, I could never be world champion. I’m a woman, I like to feel pretty and liberated (and be able to kick some ass too), so I chose playboy and was never World Champion.”
This is something many would have trouble believing. Vince McMahon wanting to make Chyna a World Champion isn’t crazy as she was once a WWE Intercontinental Champion, but few people would like the idea. What is not believable here is that Chyna would choose Playboy over being WWE Champion when she easily could have done Playboy later on in life.
Chyna has proven that there is interest in her body in an older age as much as there was when she was younger, as she has been in adult films in the last 5 years. So there is some doubt that this story of hers is legitimate. Knowing Chyna’s history with lying to look like a victim or come off looking good, her words here just seems to go with the flow of what she normally would do.
It just seems doubtful that Chyna would pick being in Playboy over being WWE Champion, especially since she held IC gold before then.
She is right about one thing, Vince McMahon would never let a woman hold the WWE World Title if she posed for Playboy. However, would he ever allow a woman to hold the title even if she chose to not do Playboy? That is the million dollar question that only Vince McMahon and maybe some in WWE know the answer to. This could be another lie by Chyna, but if true, one has to wonder what WWE would have been like with Chyna as WWE Champion.
