It’s Official! Britney Spears Signs X Factor Deal!

The Fox upfronts will be buzzing with excitement next Monday as inside sources close to production have confirmed that Britney Spears has signed on to be an X Factor judge for its new season.

It’s been speculated for weeks that Spears would take a spot that Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger once had, and now it’s official in lieu of E! news confirming. According to E! news the contract for Spears has been weeks in the making, with eight-figure negotiations, Spears is expecting to receive a whopping $15 million for a season’s worth of work.

It’s still unknown as to whether or not fiance Jason Trawick is also included in the negotiations with X Factor as there were rumors that he would be signing on as a producer of the show.

According to E! a source has exclusively confirmed that Britney Spears’ camp has been working hard on sealing the deal, “There’s been a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated the small details, but she’s on. It’s all completed and Britney is beyond excited.”

The inside source continues, championing for Spears and shutting down naysayers “She’s ready for this. She can’t wait to sit down next to Simon at the judges’ table and give this everything she’s got. She is excited about showing the world that she can do this, and do this well. This is the perfect next stage in her career. Both Britney and Simon are very excited to work together.”

This is the second foray into reality television for Britney Spears. The first go-around saw her and then husband Kevin Federline in a questionable reality show called Chaotic following their antics as a married couple.
