Lisa Vanderpump may be super busy with her three restaurants in Beverly Hills and with filming two reality shows for Bravo, but she does take the time to help her friends. Sadly, Lisa doesn’t really see Kim as a friend who she can help. Vanderpump has often reached out with concerning questions, including when the ladies were in Paris for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Here, Lisa Vanderpump noticed that Kim was not herself. She was slurring her words, and some thought she had relapsed on pills. As it turns out, Richards had taken some pills and she was jet-lagged. But with two recent arrests, Vanderpump is wondering how she can really help her co-star when she doesn’t want to help herself.
According to a new Reality Tea report, Lisa Vanderpump is now revealing that she has been distancing herself from Richards rather than stepping in and helping. Many fans know that Lisa has expressed concern for Richards before, but has been pushed away in her efforts to help. As Vanderpump reveals, her co-star has been struggling for years, and it has been obvious since the day she joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“She’s told us she’s struggling,” Lisa confirms, admitting that she hasn’t actually talked to Kim in quite some time.
“I feel that I have never involved myself too much in questioning her sobriety. Even if I had my suspicions, I never really kind of revealed anything,” Lisa reveals, adding, “Even last season, I said very much I don’t want to get involved because I didn’t feel like I was that close to her.”
While Lisa Vanderpump wants the best for Kim, one can imagine that she is shocked at how Kim is describing her co-star. In recent interviews, Richards called Vanderpump “phony,” which did sting a little. And Lisa does bring up a great point. While she can’t fire Kim, she does encourage her to leave the show if she is truly unhappy.
“I’ve done 170 episodes of reality television with Vanderpump Rules and Housewives. I’ve had a couple of really horrible, s****y experiences that I’ve never experienced in my life,” Lisa revealed according to RumorFix, adding, “The other 160 something have been amazing.”
Even though Richards has filmed some troubling episodes for the show, Vanderpump reminds her that she could just quit. According to the Inquisitr, Lisa continues to film both The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules, but hints that she is sad at how things have changed for Kim.
“It’s a shame. I’ve been saddened by that and it’s really not my place to comment on that now,” Lisa revealed, saying, “Obviously, she’s a friend and not family but it’s out there … It saddens me to see her going in this direction… I think she has really good support but now her support needs to really step in and something needs to be done.”
Do you think it is right of Lisa Vanderpump to distance herself from Kim?
