Have Mercy! Did Candace Cameron Bure Have A Crush On Her ‘Full House’ Co-Star John Stamos?

In the ’80s and ’90s John Stamos was kind of a big deal. It seemed like everyone was crushing on the Full House star, so was his co-star Candace Cameron Bure crushing on Stamos?

As a young actress we can see how she might have a small crush on the man playing her uncle, but according to Candace this was never a reality.

E! asked the Fuller House star if she ever had a crush on the man that played her uncle Jesse, and as it turns out, she never felt anything for Stamos. “That would be awkward! Never.”

She continued to explain why not, even though it seems obvious on why she would never have a crush on someone who was basically a parental figure to her. “He was too much like my uncle. I still call him Uncle J to this day. That’s his name, Uncle J. Never had a crush on him. My sister did!”

As for how Candace feels about John, she gushed to E! about working with Stamos again. Currently, the cast is filming Fuller House, which sees Bure’s DJ in the lead. The series is set to premiere on Netflix in 2016, and so far the cast has shot three episodes.

“We’ve had so much fun together. We had a great reunion episode and we had another little reunion this past weekend at Lori Loughlin’s house. We just had a barbecue, because that’s what we do. We weren’t shy with our social media posts on Instagram, but we were like, ‘OK, maybe that was overboard! We just love each other that much that we genuinely just have fun. It’s life.”

If Candace ever had a crush on John, it wouldn’t be the first weird pairing. As some of you may know, Barry Williams, who played Greg Brady on The Brady Bunch show, was in a relationship with his TV sister Maureen McCormick, who played Marcia Brady on the show. Additionally, Williams also admitted to having a crush on his TV mom Florence Henderson.

Brothers & Sisters co-stars Emily VanCamp and Dave Annable also struck up a relationship with each other, despite the fact that they were brother and sister on the show. According to a source, their chemistry was so hot that writers of the ABC show decided to change the plot a bit so that they weren’t related on the show.
