Lucy Hale’s recent photo shoot reveals a sultry, sexy side of the actress — an adult woman who has played a teenager for several years and is eager to put that role behind her, Huffington Post is reporting.
Hale recently sat down for a photo shoot with V Magazine, and photographer James Lee Wall put the 26-year-old in some poses that stand in stark contrast to the naive teenager Hale portrays on Pretty Little Liars.

For Lucy Hale, the shoot represents a new phase in her career — putting aside her role as a teen and coming out as an adult.
“I was really excited to do something a lot more grown up and show a different side of me.”
Thanks to the actors’ union’s rules on child actors and California’s child labor laws, it’s not uncommon for actors who are comfortably in their twenties to play teenagers. For Lucy Hale, that means that she’s — for better or for worse — associated with a teen. So much so that fans often have a hard time accepting that she’s an adult woman.
“When people see you on TV every week, they just associate you with that character. They truly believe that I am Aria. People meet me on the street and assume that I’m really naïve and really young. I think people are always shocked to realize ‘Oh my god, this girl’s a woman, she’s 26 years old!’ “
So what’s next for Lucy Hale, now that Pretty Little Liars is winding down? She’s got a movie lined up, and she’ll definitely be portraying an adult this time. But Lucy promises it won’t be too much of a shock for Liars fans.
“You know, the fans of the show have sort of grown up with me, so it’s a movie they can watch, but we’ll push the envelope a little bit on it. It’s a movie that’s got a lot of heart, and morals, but the language! I get to drop the f-bomb every other line, which will be fun. This will be my first lead in a movie, which will be very exciting for me.”
Hopefully Lucy Hale’s recent sexy photo shoot will help prepare fans for the actress’ new, adult roles.
