Vicki Gunvalson’s Beau, Brooks Ayers, Talks New Cancer Treatment On Upcoming ‘RHOC’ Episode [Video]

Vicki Gunvalson’s boyfriend, Brooks Ayers, is taking time out to talk with the other Housewives as to why he is stopping chemotherapy in a sneak peek of the upcoming episode of the Real Housewives of Orange County.

In Monday’s episode of the Real Housewives of Orange County, Vicki Gunvalson’s beau, Brooks Ayers, decides to open up to the other Housewives about his cancer diagnosis and discusses a new plan to battle his cancer.

“Starting tomorrow, I am pausing chemo. I’m taking a new blast of antioxidants.”

Ayers goes on to say that he will be taking large amounts of Resveratrol to treat his non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

When Meghan King Edmonds asks if Brooks’ oncologist is worried something will go awry if he stops chemo for this 90 days of “blasting,” Ayers does not directly say whether his doctor is concerned, but says his oncologists do want him to continue chemotherapy.

“Well, the chemo I was on was every six weeks and so they want me to jump on more intensive chemo, but I was — from 2009 to 2013 — in remission and then 2013, a little blip, and then it came back in 2014.”

Vicki Gunvalson explains that when Brooks Ayers’ cancer returned in 2014, it was much more serious.

“He was stage one. Now he’s stage three.”

Brooks explains his reasoning for seeking an alternative cancer treatment is because chemotherapy is just not working for him.

“I’ve done chemo for five years, different types, and this past one obviously didn’t work. There’s a 65 to 70 percent cure rate. I may be the other side that’s just not going to respond to chemo. It happens. So what can I hurt by doing 90 days of blasting an antioxidant in my body?”

Up to this point in the season, very little has been said on camera by the other Housewives about Brooks’ cancer diagnosis, but some members of the Real Housewives of Orange County cast have been questioning off camera whether Vicki Gunvalson and Brooks Ayers are lying about his cancer diagnosis. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Heather Dubrow recently hinted that during Season 10 filming, there were many inconsistencies in the couple’s story, and she promises that by the end of the season, “things definitely take an odd twist.” RHOC newcomer Meghan King Edmonds has also been very vocal about her belief that Brooks is faking his cancer diagnosis.

The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
