Kiele Sanchez: ‘Kingdom’ Star Expecting Baby Boy With Zach Gilford

Kiele Sanchez and Zach Gilford will soon be welcoming a sweet baby boy.

People Magazine reports that the 37-year-old Kingdom actress and 33-year-old Friday Night Lights star are expecting their first child together in November.

While the couple have seemed to be keeping their pregnancy under wraps, Sanchez’s growing baby bump was clearly visible when she stepped onto the red carpet during the Television Critics Association on Sunday, August 9.

“There’s so much testosterone [on set] I just got pregnant,” she joked to the reporters.

“I am playing a woman who is pretty detached from the thing that’s growing inside her, and I couldn’t be more excited about my pregnancy,” Sanchez continued while promoting the new season of Kingdom with her co-stars Frank Grillo and Jonathan Tucker. “So when I slip into Lisa, I’m at odds with this thing down here.”

“It’s something that I think that she at certain points really questions her decision to keep it, which couldn’t be further from my own life,” she continued. “So it’s a weird, strange, strange thing, especially when he kicks during a scene, you have to go on as if this thing didn’t just move inside your body. So it’s bizarre.”

Kiele, who also starred in The Glades and Lost as character Nikki Fernandez, married her hubby in 2012 during an intimate ceremony in Napa Valley, California, the Inquisitr previously reported.

The couple met on the set of The Matadors in 2010, and started dating not long after. This marked the first marriage for Gilford, and the second for Sanchez, who was previously married to writer and director Zach Helm.

“The real honeymoon was amazing. We had fun,” Gilford told OK! Magazine at the time. “We went to Tokyo, Kyoto, Hong Kong and we spent a bunch of time in Bali and traveled to a bunch of different regions in Bali.”

The couple has costarred together on several different projects, with the most recent being in the film The Purge: Anarchy.

Kingdom is slated to return to television on Wednesday, October 14, at 9 p.m.
