Woman On Mars? Conspiracy Theorists Want To Know If NASA Photographed A Martian Woman

NASA released a new image from the Mars Curiosity Rover that some say show a woman on Mars. The Curiosity Rover has been beaming back photographs and NASA has been releasing some to the public in order for the people of Earth to see the planet Mars in a way they have never seen it before. But would NASA really release a picture of a woman on Mars to the public?

The brain creates things that we are familiar with. It is known as pareidolia. Pareidolia is defined on Dictionary as the imagined perception of a pattern or meaning where it does not actually exist. It is this concept that makes us see animals in the clouds, the face of Jesus on a Dorito, Elvis in a slice of bread, and a woman on Mars. We see this images because our brain wants to make sense of everything around us.

Earlier this week, a picture from the rover released by NASA went viral when many believed that the picture showed a martian crab. NASA has claimed that no life exists on Mars, that they know of. No crabs and no woman. Of course, conspiracy theorists and ufologists don’t believe them.

The online community took to Twitter to talk about the picture of the woman on Mars.

The consensus on Twitter is that the woman on Mars is just a rock. Of course, you will never convince the die-hard conspiracy theorists that believe the government is lying to them about alien disclosure. It is fun to think about, though.

Do you think this picture is really a woman on Mars or just a rock being made to look like a woman due to light and shadows?
