Anna Kournikova And Enrique Iglesias Make Rare Public Appearance [Video]

Anna Kournikova and Enrique Iglesias made a rare public appearance on a date night at the Palm Restaurant in Beverly Hills, California, on Thursday, reports Us Weekly. Kournikova was clad in fitted blue leggings, a loosely fit black tank, and sky-high booties, which showed off her very thin frame. Enrique looked more relaxed in jeans and a grey hoodie with a ball cap.

Enrique and Kournikova, who retired from tennis in 2007, usually make Miami their home, according to PopSugar, but have been on the road because Enrique is promoting his Sex and Love Tour. During the outing, the very private Kournikova was wearing her gleaming yellow diamond ring, which is a love token from Enrique. The pair have been together since 2001, forever in Hollywood terms, and are possibly the most private couple in the music scene.

As they left the eatery, Enrique and Anna Kournikova looked even more in love as they departed wrapped in an embrace. Although Enrique and Kournikova are not reported to be married, according to Us Weekly, some fans believe they secretly married years ago. Enrique and Anna Kournikova first crossed paths when Anna starred in the music video for “Escape” in 2001, and have hit it off ever since.

The last time Enrique was photographed with his girlfriend was on a boat trip in Miami, where they were joined by Enrique’s half-sister, Ana Boyer, and her boyfriend, Fernando Verdasco, also a tennis player. After the couple leaves Los Angeles, Kournikova is rumored to accompany Enrique through Spain and Monaco for the tour. They will then continue on to Turkey and Lebanon before finishing in Curacao, reports PopSugar.

Despite the rumors, Enrique, whose parents divorced in 1979, feels marriage isn’t necessary. In a 2012 interview with Parade magazine, Enrique confessed, “I’ve never really thought marriage would make a difference. Maybe it’s because I come from divorced parents, but I don’t think you love someone more because of a piece of paper.”

“I’m not against marriage, not at all,” Enrique explained. “But when you’ve been with someone for such a long time, I don’t think it’s going to make — bring us closer together. I don’t think it’s going to … make us any happier.”

Kournikova echos the same sentiments. “It isn’t important to me,” Anna told Women’s Health mag in a 2011 interview. “I’m in a happy relationship — that’s all that matters.”
