‘American Horror Story: Hotel’: Major Halloween Episode Spoilers Released

American Horror Story fans still have a few months to wait for the premiere of American Horror Story: Hotel, but there are more details now available. Ryan Murphy and the cast have shared major spoilers about the upcoming season, and those details include some spoilers for the upcoming two-part Halloween episode set for the end of October.

The Los Angeles Times shared Murphy’s comments about the episodes, and he revealed that Lily Rabe would return to the series for the special pair of episodes. A previous Inquisitr report teased that she would play a serial killer, but now more is known about her character.

Ryan Murphy shared the inside scoop for fans of the show.

“We’re doing a two-part, well, we always do a two-part Halloween episode, but our Halloween episode this year is called ‘Devil’s Night.’ I’m directing it because I love the script so much, when we finished it I said, ‘I can’t give this to anybody else.’ Lily Rabe is coming to that episode. And she’s playing Aileen Wuornos, which is really fun and bizarre. I don’t want to give too much away but I will tell you that she’s at the centerpiece of that, and that’s who she’s playing.”

Darren Criss will also appear on the series this season, and he will play a character far different from Blaine on Glee. Entertainment Weekly shared Murphy’s comments about Criss’ character.

“We already know that Darren Criss will be checking into Hotel for the big Halloween outing, playing a hipster who shows up with his girlfriend. And this character is going to be very different from Blaine Anderson. ‘This role for Darren, we wrote it and he was the first person we thought of because Darren has told me he wants to do edgier, darker material, so this plays into that,’ executive producer Ryan Murphy teases. But the real question is whether he’ll be leaving those bow ties behind.”

Ryan Murphy is known to pull from his other works to find actors for new projects. Matt Bomer appeared both on Glee and The Normal Heart, and he will play a character on this season of American Horror Story.

Jessica Lange has departed the series, but Lady Gaga is coming in. She is in charge of all the action at the hotel featured on this season. Fans will have to tune in to find out how the series does without Lange.
