Olivia Wilde Teams Up With Mick Jagger For HBO Project

Olivia Wilde and Boardwalk Empire star Bobby Cannavale will be teaming up with a former Sopranos producer and Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger on their next project, a series for HBO called Vinyl, and the first teaser trailer gives us plenty to look forward to.

Cannavale stars as a record exec on the lookout for new talent, and Wilde plays his model wife. The series, set in the 1970s, features plenty of that era’s staples: sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll. Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger, and Terrence Winter will be executive producing the show, which also stars Ray Romano, Ato Essandoh, Max Casella, P.J. Byrne, and Juno Temple.

Olivia has been a busy bee of late, starring in six projects in 2015 alone, not counting the ongoing parts she has on BoJack Horseman and Portlandia. The actress spoke recently about her childhood and said that as a child, she was often told not to be “boring”, which had very interesting effects on the choices she made as an adult.

“Whenever I was being kind of a pill, whining or whatever, my parents would say, ‘Oh, Olivia, don’t be boring.’ Like: ‘Don’t whine. Whining’s boring. Do something interesting.’ So that was my only goal as a kid: to not be boring. And that probably had a lot to do with the choices I made subsequently.”

Never one to shy away from talking about personal things, Wilde also spoke to Glamour recently about her favorite scents, saying she’s strongly tied to certain smells by emotion.

“I’m a true believer that fragrance really can change your mood, and it’s so individual to each person. I rarely leave the house without something on, whether it’s a drop of essential oil or one of the Today Tomorrow Always fragrances,” Olivia Wilde said.

Based on the trailer for Vinyl, Olivia looks as gorgeous as ever, but she shared her thoughts on her changing body earlier this year, saying that new motherhood was taking some getting used to. Nonetheless, she posed for the cover of Shape Magazine in a skimpy bikini top and wasn’t afraid to flaunt her stomach.

“I am not in perfect shape. In fact, I’m softer than I’ve ever been, including that unfortunate semester in high school when I simultaneously discovered Krispy Kreme and pot. The photos of me in this magazine have been generously constructed to show my best angles and I assure you, good lighting has been warmly embraced. The truth is, I’m a mother, and I look like one,” Olivia Wilde said.
