WWE News: Triple H And WWE Management Very High On New WWE NXT Superstar Apollo Crews

WWE NXT has been hitting high notes every week this year thus far. We can say without a doubt that this is due to the amazing talent on the show. Now that guys like Hideo Itami, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn are either out or headed to the main roster, others have to step up to be the next big thing on the show. One man everyone was hoping to see step up is Uhaa Nation, now known as WWE NXT Superstar Apollo Crews.

Apollo Crews is known for his great Indy work and for what he can do in a ring that few others can accomplish. The man is six-foot-one and 240 pounds, yet he moves he like a man half his size, which is amazing to see in person. His mic ability and charisma are very good as well. Many people believe he is the hope for the next black WWE Champion, which WWE has not seen since The Rock.

According to Cageside Seats, WWE is quite high on him. Triple H has expressed that we will love Apollo once we see him. From the videos we saw on NXT this past week, he is already getting attention from people who didn’t know who he was before.

With WWE being high on him, especially Triple H, you know he is going to get chances to be big for the company. In today’s WWE, getting over on NXT can be tough, but once you’re able to do it, fans are behind you greatly. Apollo Crews is lucky, seeing as he has some Indy work in his background. However, since he was not as well known as a Sami Zayn or Kevin Owens coming in, people are just now getting introduced to him.

He is set to make his in-ring debut at WWE NXT Takeover: Brooklyn in a few weeks. This is a huge thing because he could go out and impress a New York City crowd and make a big name for himself. While he did have Indy experience, he never really had the opportunity to work a ton in the Northeast. Apollo mainly worked for Dragon’s Gate USA, and he even made a trip to Japan to work for the big Japanese Dragon’s Gate promotion. He also worked a bit in Europe in places like PCW.

So while he has extensive work on the Independent scene, New York fans aren’t used to him. They will soon experience him for the first time live, which means impressing them is an even bigger deal. If Apollo Crews gets over at Takeover, one would imagine that NXT writers will begin to write him into plans for the NXT Championship. From there, we can see how well he handles everything. If he does well in NXT, one would imagine that he will do just as well on the main roster.
