Katie Holmes Cuts Hair, Debuts Chic Bob, But Actress’ New Hairstyle Is Met With Criticism

Although Katie Holmes recently cut her hair, the actress’ chic bob is being heavily criticized by some viewers. While many can agree that Katie Holmes is one of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood and almost always looks elegant and appropriate with her looks, a few internet users are saying that the 36-year-old’s latest hairstyle makes her look older than she really is.

“She is not aging well at all. She looks way older than 36,” one user said.

“No matter what hairstyle she has, it won’t matter…a simple brushing or combing would make all the difference in the world! No wonder Suri always looks like a ragamuffin. If Mom won’t brush her own hair, the child won’t either. She just looks like she’s always just rolled out of bed without paying any attention to her hair,” another user wrote.

People magazine reported that Holmes cut her hair for a role in her new film, All We Had, which she directs and stars in.

If there is a hairstyle that seems to be the choice of many actresses this summer, it certainly is the bob cut. This is not the first time that Katie Holmes has opted to cut her hair; Tom Cruise’s ex recently showed off a fresh bob at the 2015 Met Gala and also sported a similar look to the gala in 2008, ET Online reports.

In the past, Katie Holmes has also come under fire for her questionable style in fashion. One such example is when Holmes recently hit the streets of Manhattan in a pair of outlandish red cheetah-print leggings. As reported by Page Six, the star took onlookers by surprise with her bizarre ensemble which featured cheetah-print leggings, denim shirt, star-adorned silver backpack, and striking black and gold stilettos.

Meanwhile, Katie Holmes is set to make her directorial debut and star in the mother-daughter drama All We Had, which is based on the Annie Weatherwax novel. According to Daily Mail, All We Had follows a struggling mother-daughter duo as they try to find a new life for themselves in the small town of Grand River, Ohio, with the financial crisis as its backdrop. As of the time of this report, an official release date for the film hasn’t been set.
