Jay-Z: Blue Ivy May Be Most Spoiled Kid Ever

Can you imagine if your parents were Jay-Z and Beyonce? The super celebrity couple welcomed their first child Blue Ivy Carter into the world in January. While most children are busy trying to explain how their fathers are office workers or truck drivers and their mother’s work at banks, Blue Ivy will be explaining that her father is a world class rapper who also happens to own the Brooklyn Nets and her mother is featured on the cover of People Magazine’s “Most Beautiful People” issue.

Jay Z, speaking to Oprah in a show set to air on the OWN channel soon said that he bets that Blue Ivy will be like every other kid and be embarrassed by her parents and want her space.

Jay-Z told Oprah,

“Everyone imagines they’ll be a great dad until their [kids are] teenagers, saying ‘Get away from me, Dad. You’re embarrassing me,'”

Jay-Z added that he intends to use his own experiences and family past in order to impart his own wisdom on little Blue Ivy.

Jay also said to Oprah,

“I imagine I’ll take things I learned from my mom and things I’ve learned from raising my nephews and apply that. Then at the end of the day, I just know I’ll probably have the worst, spoiled little kid ever.”

While everyone can hope that Blue Ivy doesn’t turn into a spoiled brat, it may be a little difficult when in the first four months of her life she has already been showered with some pretty expensive starter gifts. Blue Ivy was already given a $1,029 stroller from Gwyneth Paltrow, a Bob Marley onesie from Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland and an iPod filled with tunes specially curated by Roots drummer Questlove.
