Katy Perry And John Mayer Still Together, Taylor Swift’s Team Allegedly Leaked Fake Stories To Press
Katy Perry and John Mayer’s on-again, off-again relationship is getting confusing, especially for their fans. The couple was spotted again after it was just reported that Katy and John have split for what seems like the fourth time.
Katy Perry and John Mayer’s “Hot ‘N Cold” relationship is heating up yet again. Or, maybe it never really went ice cold. The 30-year-old pop star is still with her 37-year-old musician boyfriend. New reports are indicating that Perry and Mayer were spotted at Yellowstone National Park, although there aren’t any paparazzi shots of the two together.
According to a report on The Sun, via Yahoo!, Katy and John have been “spending a lot of time at his house talking over their feelings and trying to see if they can make it work.” The yo-yo couple haven’t been seen together since the Fourth of July Grateful Dead concert in Chicago, which led reports to say that they broke up.
Now there’s other reports that claims that Perry and Mayer broke up because of Perry’s alleged feud with Taylor Swift. According to these rumors, Swift and her crafty management team are the ones who crafted the breakup rumors.
The report via Celebrity Dirty Laundry claimed that the “Bad Blood” singer was the one who leaked the breakup rumors to the media. It appears that Taylor was upset over Katy’s tweet in the middle of her feud with Nicki Minaj.

So how did Swift retaliate? By leaking the false breakup rumors to the press, according to the report. Both Perry and her fans have been placing the blame on the straight-laced singer, who is reportedly a “mean girl” behind closed doors. Swift didn’t like hearing that Perry and Mayer were so happy that they were planning to get married before she sets foot down the aisle.
Could it be that Taylor’s camp is also leaking the rumors of her alleged engagement to DJ Calvin Harris? It could be the reason why there are so many reports claiming that the country-turned-pop star is planning to marry Calvin, even though they only dated for a few months.
Of course, this is all speculation and hearsay at the moment. Neither Perry nor Swift has spoken out in response to any of these rumors or about Swift’s camp spreading the breakup rumors.
Katy and John have dated on and off since 2012. The singer dated the musician after divorcing comedian Russell Brand. Meanwhile, Taylor previously dated John for a short time in 2010 and wrote “Dear John” about the alleged womanizer.
Mayer followed up with a song called “Paper Doll.” He also told Rolling Stone that Swift’s song about him was “cheap” and “humiliating.” It appears that Perry and Mayer are still together, for now.
