Russian Granny Ripper Admits To Dismembering More Than 10 People Before Possibly Eating Their Remains

A 68-year-old woman of St. Petersburg, Russia, who many are calling the “Granny Ripper,” admitted to dismembering the bodies of more than 10 people and eating them all over a two-decade long killing spree, according to the New York Daily News.

For 20 years, hotel worker Tamara Samsonova lived a secret life that her friends, family, and neighbors knew nothing of. They were in for a shock when they later discovered that surveillance footage captured the moment she was dragging a dismembered body from her home in a black garbage bag.

After an investigation ensued, the Granny Ripper was arrested on July 26 for the murder of 76-year-old Valentina Ulanova, whose severed head was discovered in a pond. Samsonova admitted to Russian police officials that she murdered the woman after arguing with her over dirty dishes.

Apparently, she slipped the woman sleeping pills before sawing her alive, but that’s not all. Police later discovered that she had killed and dismembered more than 10 people after finding her journal – along with black magic books – full of gory details of the killings, according to the Sun.

A sharp knife and smeared blood in her bathroom was also discovered when investigators searched her home.

When police officials were in possession of her journal, they read a chilling entry.

“I killed my tenant Volodya, cut him to pieces in the bathroom with a knife, put the pieces of his body in plastic bags and threw them away in the different parts of Frunzensky district.”

Investigators believe that not only did Samsonova murder her victims and hack them into pieces, but she may have also eaten them, according to sources. They are now attempting to link her “journal entries to unsolved murder cases around the city of St. Petersburg” as they’ve found countless body parts over the course of 20 years.

The Granny Ripper is also accused of killing her husband, who has been missing since 2005.

During her court hearing, she told the judge, “I am guilty and I deserve to be punished.”

She turned to the reporters and said, “I knew you would come… It’s such a disgrace for me, all the city will know.”

“I was getting ready for this court action for dozens of years. It was all done deliberately…There is no way to live. With this last murder I closed the chapter.”

Afterwards, she was seen blowing a kiss at the reporters.

When the judge told the court that she will remain in custody, she “clapped her hands and smiled.”

The Granny Ripper is currently being held without bond and will undergo a psychiatric evaluation to uncover if she is fit to stand trial for the brutal murders.
