Mariah Carey Gets Star On Walk Of Fame, Will Guest Star On ‘Empire’ Season 2
Mariah Carey is the latest artist to get her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The 45-year-old singer was there with her four-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monro.
Receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame made Mariah’s fans ecstatic, but that’s not all. During the ceremony, as the ET Online reports, producer and director Lee Daniels also announced that Carey will guest star on the second season of Fox’s hit television series Empire.
Daniels, while giving a speech, told the audience, “Watch her on Empire, you guys. She’s coming on Empire!”
Lee Daniels is the director and producer of Empire, but this isn’t the first time he will be working with Mariah Carey. The two have already collaborated on Daniels’ other films including Tennessee and Precious, wherein Mariah got rave reviews for her raw acting.
Mariah Carey and Lee Daniels first met in 2005 and, since then, the two have become inseparable. Daniels was all praise for Mariah during his speech.
“I stopped everything I was doing to make sure that I was here for you, because you’ve always been there for me, Mariah, before Lee Daniels was Lee Daniels. I love you with all my heart. I’m so proud of you.”
Daniels also stated something that has been on many fans’ minds.
“I thought you already had a star on the Walk of Fame. You deserved one a long time ago.”
As reported by the Inquisitr, Mariah Carey had already been chosen to get a star in 2007, but she wasn’t able to do the ceremony back then.
Mariah was all smiles and showed her appreciation to all her fans.
“This is so overwhelming… I just want to thank all the fans for coming here today. You’re melting my heart, you’re making me cry and that’s why I’m keeping on my sunglasses. This is a huge honor. It’s a childhood dream come true and it’s been a long time coming. I’m very humbled.”

Lee Daniels didn’t elaborate on Mariah’s role in Empire. However, we already know that she will be joining other big name artists in Season 2 of the show, including Ludacris, Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, and Chris Rock, as the Daily Mail reported.
