Do you have the Powerball winning numbers for August 5? There is a $40 million jackpot up for grabs on Wednesday night — match all six numbers and you will be an instant multi-millionaire.

Watch the drawing live at 10:59 p.m. ET using the free LotteryHub app for iPhone and Android devices. If you miss the live drawing, enter the numbers from one or more tickets into the app and it will automatically alert you if you are a winner of not only the jackpot, but non-jackpot prizes as well. The app can be used for both Powerball and Mega Millions drawings.

The winning Powerball numbers for August 5 are: 9-11-14-16-42, PB 19; Power Play 2

According to M Live, the jackpot now stands at Powerball’s minimum payout of $40 million after one lucky ticket holder in California matched all six numbers (7, 13, 24, 49 and 57 PB 15) on Saturday, August 1. The winner, who has yet to come forward, won the $110 million jackpot just a few weeks after a lottery player from Missouri won $70 million in the July 4 drawing.

If you match all five white balls and the red Powerball in tonight’s drawing, you will have the option to take the grand prize in single, lump sum payment or spread out over 30 years in an annuity.

Winners who choose the lump sum payment will get the cash value of the jackpot, which is currently $25.5 million. After federal taxes, the payout would be approximately $19,125,000. Unless the winner lives in a state that doesn’t tax lottery winnings —Alaska, Florida, Nevada, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas,Washington and Wyoming — state tax (percentage varies by state) will also be deducted from the payout.

The 30-year annuity is based on the total jackpot amount. If you win the $40 million Powerball jackpot on Wednesday night, you will receive an initial payment of $1.3 million followed by 29 annual payments. According to the Multi-State Lottery Association, the amount of the yearly payment will increase by approximately four percent per year to account for cost of living increases.

If you don’t win the jackpot, there is always a chance that you will score a non-jackpot prize valued between $4 and $1 million. If you match all five white balls, but not the Powerball, you will win $1 million. Match 4 white balls and the red Powerball and you will get a check for $10,000 — a prize that will increase to $50,000 starting October 7.

Powerball numbers are drawn at 10:59 p.m. ET every Wednesday and Saturday. Tickets cost $2 each and are sold in 44 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
